Bonnie's Prayer Warriors for a Cure

Welcome to our fundraising team page.

On June 1, 2019, my family and I will be participating in our 6th annual Lupus Foundation of America's Walk to End Lupus Now! The 5k walk at the Great Park in Irvine will raise critical funds for the estimated 1.5 million people living with lupus in the United States.

As many of you may know, I was diagnosed with lupus eight years ago and take numerous medications to control and suppress the progression of this incurable disease. As you can imagine this cause is very near and dear to my heart.

I hope you'll consider making a secure donation on my walk page to help me reach my fundraising goal. I am also inviting you to join our team, Bonnie's Prayer Warriors for a Cure and walk with us on the day of the event. In doing so, you will be supporting the Foundation's efforts to improve the quality of life for all people, myself included, who are affected by lupus.

Did you know:

Lupus is a mysterious and misunderstood autoimmune disease. It strikes without warning, affects each person differently, and has no known causes or cure.

Lupus symptoms can be severe and highly unpredictable and can cause inflammation and damage in various parts of the body (joints; skin; kidneys; brain; the lining of the heart, lungs or intestines; blood and blood vessels and other organs or tissues).

While lupus can strike anyone at any time, 90% of people living with lupus are women.

To date, only "one" drug has ever been developed and approved by the US Food and Drug Administration specifically to treat the disease.

Together, with your assistance, we can raise funds toward increased research, new and improved treatments and enhanced patient and outreach education. Please join our team today by making a donation in support of our efforts!

Many Blessings,
Bonnie's Prayer Warriors for a Cure
