2022 Walk to End Lupus Now, Chicago

Kellsie's Krew

Welcome to Kellsie's Krew!

Imagine a day when doctors can say, "There is a cure for lupus". Until that day though, there is work to be done. That's why we are taking action in the fight against lupus. Join us as we participate in the Lupus Foundation of America's Walk to End Lupus Now® to raise critical funds for the estimated 1.5 million people living with lupus in the United States.

This walk is not only draws awareness to this incurable disease, but it allows connections to be made amongst those that live with it and those who love someone with it. The Walk to End Lupus Now provides people affected by lupus and their families the opportunity to come together for one unified purpose: ending Lupus.

Help me be a part of this quest for a cure. Help me give everyone battling this disease and everyone who loves someone with this disease a support system that is as unwavering, encouraging, and kick ass as mine.

Ways you can help me on this quest for a cure is by: signing up through this link to join my team “Kellsie’s Krew” on our walk for a cure on September 24, or by donating to my team to help provide funds for The Lupus Foundation of America to:

  • Lead special research initiatives and fund innovative studies

  • Advocate for increased public and private investment in lupus research to advance the science and medicine of Lupus

  • Translate research findings into useful programs, information, and tools for people with Lupus

  • Conduct outreach efforts to increase public understanding of Lupus

  • Provide caring support to people with Lupus, their families and their caregivers, and help guide them through the complexities of living with Lupus

  • Or both!

Any bit of support helps my team and I aid in moving one "step" closer to a cure for Lupus!

Did you know?

  • Lupus is a mysterious and misunderstood autoimmune disease. It strikes without warning, affects each person differently, and has no known causes or cure.

  • Lupus symptoms can be severe and highly unpredictable and can damage any organ or tissue, from the skin or joints to the heart or kidneys.

  • While lupus can strike anyone at any time, 90% of people living with lupus are women.

  • Lupus is hard to diagnose, but the Lupus Foundation of America is working to make life easier and more comfortable for the estimated 1.5 million people living with lupus in the United States.

Together, we can solve the cruel mystery of lupus. Now let’s get those walking shoes on and help my “Krew” find a cure for Lupus!
