2021 Walk to End Lupus Now, San Diego

Team Bri

Welcome to our team page for Team Bri!

Join us as we participate in the 2021 Virtual Walk to End Lupus in honor of Briana. We will be walking our 3.11 (Bri's birthday) miles at Rohr Park on SATURDAY OCTOBER 16th at 9:00 a.m. like we did last year. We will start at the green “3.11” sign and walk the loop. I would love for you to join us in-person or virtually. Feel free to walk, jog, run, hop, skip the 3.11 miles (or as much as you can do) anywhere you like. If you participate please tag me and hashtag #TEAMBRI or send me a photo so I can put them all together for our team.

AND WEAR PURPLE! Bri loved purple, wore it on the mound in college at JMU, and it is the official color for Lupus. If you have anything purple - a shirt, ribbon, scarf, facemask - wear it and represent!

I just want to say THANK YOU THANK THANK YOU again to everyone that has been so supportive since we lost our Bri. Last year's turnout and participation was amazing and we are beyond grateful.

*Ohana means family. Family means no one gets left behind or forgotten.*

Did you know?

  • Lupus is a mysterious and misunderstood autoimmune disease. It strikes without warning, affects each person differently, and has no known causes or cure.
  • Lupus symptoms can be severe and highly unpredictable and can damage any organ or tissue, from the skin or joints to the heart or kidneys.
  • While lupus can strike anyone at any time, 90% of people living with lupus are women. Women of color are at especially high risk.
  • Only one drug has ever been developed and approved by the US Food and Drug Administration specifically to treat the disease.

Together, we can solve the cruel mystery of lupus. Join our team today and support our efforts!
