Jamie's Wings

Help Support Jamie's Wings

Jamie was diagnosed with Lupus (SLE) at 21 years old. With a few years of difficulty finding answers to many different symptoms, doctors were able to come to a diagnosis of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. In the early years of diagnosis, Jamie was faced with the challenges that come along with any new diagnosis. Through the years, with the support of her loved ones, she has been able to overcome obstacles that have been faced through her journey. Doctors have created a plan for Jamie, and though with Lupus, everyday is unpredictable, she is at a healthy point living with the disease. She is fortunate but the truth is, not everyone living with SLE is. Help support the team,  to help others, who are fighting everyday to overcome the challenges of Lupus.

Welcome to our fundraising team page.

Did you know?

  • Lupus is a mysterious and misunderstood autoimmune disease. It strikes without warning, affects each person differently, and has no known causes or cure.
  • Lupus symptoms can be severe and highly unpredictable and can damage any organ or tissue, from the skin or joints to the heart or kidneys.
  • While lupus can strike anyone at any time, 90% of people living with lupus are women. Women of color are at especially high risk.
  • Only one drug has ever been developed and approved by the US Food and Drug Administration specifically to treat the disease.

Together, we can solve the cruel mystery of lupus. Join our team today and support our efforts!
