Its time to raise money for Lupus research!
Alyssa's Lupie Groupies & I are taking action in the fight against lupus. Please join us as we participate in the Lupus Foundation of America’s Walk to End Lupus Now 2020 in Irvine Saturday June 6, 2020 to raise critical funds for the estimated 1.5 million people living with lupus in the United States!!
Our Captains Story:
"I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Eythmatosus June 1, 2016 after fighting for answers for a little over SIX YEARS. Lupus being called "The Great Imitator" is no joke! My whole life changed with this diagnosis... FINALLY there was an answer to me frequenting the local ER, dealing with intense amounts of muscle/joint pain, endless infections, being constantly fatigued, painful rashes on face and arms that got to the point they would turn into opne sores and bleed, ulcers in nose and mouth, blood in urine, sensitivity to light as well as much more. After being diagnosed we had to figure out an effective treatment plan as lupus is not a one size fits all disease, it is actually incredibly hard to treat with only ONE FDA approved drug in 40+ years. After 3 years of trial and error treatments I am beginning to respond positively to my current treatment. Every day is precious especially when fighting such an aggressive disease! In my fight I fully intend to raise as much money for research as possible so people have hope for their future, have confidence in themselves and that they have the freedom to achieve all they want in this life. No one should have to sacrifice their goals and dreams due to a disease. I want to make a change and an impact & I need YOUR help, yes you reading this!"
Would you be so kind as to make a donation to help us reach our team fundraising goal of $1,200 & support the Foundation's efforts to improve the quality of life for all people affected by lupus, including myself? A contribution of even just $5 can make a definite impact. Every single dollar counts!
