I want to be part of the Lupus community to help solve this mysterious and misunderstood autoimmune disease. I’m doing this for my Auntie J and cousin Keisha, who passed away due to Lupus, my cousins, and anyone who has cross path with it. Click the link to help Team Blue Orchids reach our goal! Let’s help Lupus warrior’s bring out awareness!
Lupus is an autoimmune disease that does a number on the body. It earns the nicknames "the great imitator" and "the disease of 1,000 faces" due to its complexity and wide range of symptoms. Did you know it takes an average of 7 years to diagnose Lupus patients, because it is often mistaken for other ailments? That's a mighty long time from the onset of illness to receive proper care and treatment. Doctors are still learning about Lupus and how to best administer care to each patient. This is one of the many reasons I walk. AWARENESS. Stick with me and l'Il continue to share more reasons and Lupus facts through out the month.
I am joining thousands of people across the country for the Walk to End Lupus Now! This year team Blue Orchids will walk in Miami. We hope you'll join us if you're in the area. The walk is FREE. You can also support by virtually walking, donating, and sharing the message.
Let’s twin!! Everyone on our team will be wearing a purple shirt. If you don’t have a purple shirt here is a link for a “In This Family You Are Not Alone” shirt from Amazon. Can’t wait to see everyone matching! https://a.co/d/gjpzmEO
