I’m Walking to End Lupus. Join Me?
Join us as we participate in the 2020 Virtual Walk to End Lupus in honor of Bri. I will be walking the 3.11 (Bri's birthday) miles at Rohr Park at 10am. I would love for you to join but if not that is ok since this is a virtual event. Feel free to walk, jog, run, hop, skip 3.11 miles (or as much as you can do) anywhere you like. If you participate please tag me and hashtag #TEAMBRI or send me a photo so I can put them all together.
WEAR PURPLE! Bri loved purple, wore it on the mound in college, and it is the official color for Lupus. If you have anything purple - a shirt, ribbon, scarf, facemask - please wear it.
I just want to say THANK YOU again to everyone that has been so supportive since we lost our Bri. WE MISS YOU BRI!
Did you know?
- Lupus is a mysterious and misunderstood autoimmune disease. It strikes without warning, affects each person differently, and has no known causes or cure.
- Lupus symptoms can be severe and highly unpredictable and can damage any organ or tissue, from the skin or joints to the heart or kidneys.
- While lupus can strike anyone at any time, 90% of people living with lupus are women. Women of color are at especially high risk.
- Only one drug has ever been developed and approved by the US Food and Drug Administration specifically to treat the disease.
Together, we can solve the cruel mystery of lupus. Thank you for your generosity!
