I am so happy to share that I will be joining thousands of people across the country for the Walk to End Lupus Now®.
This event is being held to raise awareness and (research) funds to understand and find a cure for persons living with lupus. Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that affects millions of people of all ages, genders, and racial or ethnic groups. No one knows what causes lupus. Having lupus can make everyday life challenging. In addition, right now, there is no cure for lupus.
I am even happier to let you know that I am walking at the Walk to End Lupus, New Jersey 2023 on Sunday, October 8th at 1p.m. in Nomehegan Park, Cranford NJ.
Why am I walking? Because I am a Lupus Warrior! Diagnosed six years ago, my journey with systemic lupus includes physical pain as well as emotional highs and lows. But God!! In spite of all its challenges, living with lupus brings purpose to my commitment to persevere. Alongside with Lupus Foundation of America, I am purposed to advocate, educate and support souls affected by lupus. In other words, they say I have lupus BUT lupus does not have me!
I invite you to join our NJ Support Group Team and walk with us. As team captain (my first time), I look forward to and appreciate the far-reaching difference you can make in the fight against this cruel disease.
If you are not able to attend the Walk to End Lupus, you can still support the lupus community through a charitable donation. Your generosity will help NJ Support Group Team reach our fundraising goal. Every dollar makes the difference.
Right now, there is no cure for lupus. The good news is that together, we can solve the cruel mystery of this disease. Your support enriches the purpose to advocate, educate and support the way to meaningful quality of life for all people affected by lupus!
Thank and Bless you
