I’m Walking to End Lupus. Join Me?
I am proud to work for the Lupus Foundation of America. Every day, we help people with lupus to live fuller, healthier lives.
When my grandfather was diagnosed with lupus in the late 1960s, there was no Lupus Foundation. There were no support groups like the dozen that we operate in SoCal every month, including one specifically dedicated to the men living with lupus. There were no health educators available for individual phone calls to talk through medication challenges or to discuss how to balance work and health.
He would have loved our Walk To End Lupus Now, when the whole lupus community joins together to support each other, raise awareness of lupus, and generate needed funds for research and education.
In May, I'm doing a 1,000 Pullup Challenge to raise funds for my Walk team. Throughout the month, I'll complete 1,000 pullups. Please consider pledging a penny, a nickel or a dime per pullup as a way to support research and education programs to help people with lupus. I'll post my updates weekly, along with an occasional video. Thank you for your support!
P.S. If you're interested, I'd love for you to pick your own May challenge and raise funds for the Lupus Foundation. Fight that Quarantine 15 and do some good!
