Dear Family and Friends,
On Sunday, October 8, 2023, the Lupus Foundation of America will be hosting the Walk to End Lupus Now® in Cranford, NJ. I’m participating in the Walk for the first time this year because I believe in the need for greater awareness for how to live with lupus and support those who have it, as well as support research that can help find a cure.
There are three ways you can support my effort:
1) You can donate through my personal page here: http://support.lupus.org/goto/Neha_Patel
2) You can spread the word to others in your network who may want to contribute.
3) You or others can also join me in the walk. It is free to register.
Every step and every dollar raised brings us one step closer to a cure, as well as support and critical awareness and education for millions who have this condition.
Love,
Neha (in loving memory and honor of Suku and Leenaben)
Did you know?
Lupus is a mysterious and misunderstood autoimmune disease. It strikes without warning, affects each person differently, and has no known causes or cure.
Lupus symptoms can be severe and highly unpredictable and can damage any organ or tissue, from the skin or joints to the heart or kidneys.
While lupus can strike anyone at any time, 90% of people living with lupus are women. Women of color are at especially high risk.
Lupus is hard to diagnose, but the Lupus Foundation of America is working to make life easier and more comfortable for the estimated 1.5 million people living with lupus in the United States. Together, we can solve the cruel mystery of lupus. Thank you for your generosity!
