Hi Team JMJ new and current Donors and Supporters!
This is my 11th year participating, being a captain, and walking for the Lupus Foundation of America in San Francisco. Over the last 10 years, my family and I have built strong relationships with our donors and supporters to be the fearless team that we are...Team JMJ. We have raised over $110,000+ and still counting as we aim to not only be an inspiration, but to create history as we fundraise for all the people impacted by lupus.
This fight and journey that we are on is inspired by Jervonya Monique Jones (JMJ). My older sister's energy is in my bones and flowing through my heart because of the life she led and the fight she had when she was living with lupus. Even though she is not living with me know here on earth, her energy has never died. Her energy is in the faith and hope that my family and I have in the power of community to find a cure so we may see others live a life with lupus but not die from it.
This year, it is all about continuing the fight, and continuing the conversation to build awareness of this mystery disease and showing others not to be afraid of it. If anything, as we move through the junior year of the pandemic, we have learned how to do the many hard things and the last two years have been Team JMJ's biggest fundraising years yet. Crisis or opportunity? We have an opportunity to rally you, our donors and supporters to show that no fight or goal can be reached alone. I definitely want to do my part and encourage you all to make a donation and pay it forward by sharing the story of Team JMJ with someone you know because they say, someone you know has lupus. My goal is to exceed my last year goal of $5,000 and raise over $6,000 in hopes that we can beat our overall fundraising from last year...$23,000. Will you help us continue the fight, remain on this journey and inspire others that love and togetherness is how we make it through any challenge?!
Thank you for reading and thank you for your donation!
