Why I Walk
I walk for a cure. I walk for a life free of medication, lab tests, and doctor appointments. I walk now for the days I'm too swollen and achy to walk at all. I walk for the day when I wake up an have no other worries than how fast I can get a cup of coffee. And I hope you'll walk with me.
I've registered for the Walk to End Lupus Now San Francisco and I hope you will support me. Supporting lupus research, education, and advocacy is a very personal passion of mine. I do this in the hopes of one day finding a cure for lupus. It may be a long way away, but I imagine one day waking up without any aches or pains, taking any medications, or ticking off the week's doctors appointments. This is why I walk.
If you'd like to join myself in the 2020 San Francisco Walk to end Lupus Now I would be overjoyed by the support. If you can't be there to walk with me, you'll be there in spirit. If you would like to donate to the cause, any amount goes a long way. What's more, if your employer offers a Matching Gift Program to employees you may be able to double your contribution with just a little bit of paperwork. Trust me, it's worth the effort! Every single dollar counts.
Thank you all for the support and let's see how much we can raise this year!
