I’m Walking to End Lupus. Join Me?
I'm walking for everyone who is affected by Lupus-- whether they have it or have a loved one that does. I was diagnosed with Lupus when I was only 14 years old. This disease has impacted not only my life, but the life of those around me in numerous ways. This disease impacts everyone differently, and not everyone is as lucky as I am in regards to severity and final outcomes. Although large steps have been taken to find ways to handle and end Lupus, it is not enough! Please join me by walking with me and/or donating to the cause. Even if it's only a dollar, every penny counts and is appreciated!
Did you know?
- Lupus is a mysterious and misunderstood autoimmune disease. It strikes without warning, affects each person differently, and has no known causes or cure.
- Lupus symptoms can be severe and highly unpredictable and can damage any organ or tissue, from the skin or joints to the heart or kidneys.
- While lupus can strike anyone at any time, 90% of people living with lupus are women. Women of color are at especially high risk.
- Only one drug has ever been developed and approved by the US Food and Drug Administration specifically to treat the disease.
Thank you in advance!
