This is my 8th year WALKING TO END LUPUS NOW TAMPA - 2019 on May 5th.
The years go by and get increasingly challenging living with lupus. The daily inexplicable fatigue affects every aspect of my life. I have 3 very active little grandsons that are 6, 5 and almost 4 years old. They keep me very busy!
6 months ago I found some relief from the pain, discomfort and fatigue associated with lupus. CBD OIL! It's working like magic and I'm so thankful to work part-time for this elite company, CBD American Shaman. This CBD oil has helped me to better manage my life with lupus. I have so much more energy now and feel alive again!
1 1/2 years ago we lost a beautiful 27 year old Tampa Walk family member due to complications from lupus. THIS IS WHY I WALK. To make a difference!
Won't you be so kind to help me reach my personal goal of $2,500 by donating on my page?
About me: I was diagnosed with 2 types of lupus nearly 13 years ago. Yep. It was a total life-changing experience. I had to quit my job as an EMT, as I could no longer function in the capacity in which my job required, physically or mentally. Everything changed! I wept. I mourned. I hurt. I fell into deep depression. I gained a lot of weight. I lost a lot of hair. I was absolutely miserable. We were down to one income. It was the worst time in my life.
Then 8 years ago I found the Lupus Foundation of America and discovered that I could become a personal advocate for lupus and help others become aware of this cruel and mysterious disease. So that's what I did and haven't looked back since! MY TEAM HAS RAISED OVER $48,000 IN THE PAST 7 YEARS AND HAVE REMAINED IN THE TOP 10 FUNDRAISING TEAMS FOR THE LFA TAMPA. We can't do this without your help.
Thanks & blessings for making a difference in lives with lupus!

DID YOU KNOW?
* Lupus is a cruel and mysterious, and misunderstood autoimmune disease. It strikes without warning, affects each person differently, and has no known causes or cure.
* Lupus symptoms can be severe and highly unpredictable and can damage any organ or tissue, from the skin or joints to the heart or kidneys.
* While lupus can strike anyone at any time, 90% of people living with lupus are women. Women of color are at especially high risk.
* Only one drug, Benlysta, has ever been developed and approved by the US Food and Drug Administration specifically to treat the disease.
