Two women. Too young.
Chelsea Price, 27. Aprille Montealegre,28.
We are too young to be in a fight with our health. Getting a diagnosis meant the beginning for a long journey ahead with no guarentee of ever being well again. Our inner strength is our support and how we get through the daily struggle. If it's not the weather it's the sick person who doesnt cover their mouth, or the disease attacking your organs. Help us find a cure for a healthier and pain free life with our loved ones.
Aprille was diagnosed in her early 20’s with lupus. Both of her sisters, that are nurses, noticed a few hallmark symptoms of lupus that she was complaining about. She was tested and sure enough she tested positive. She was in a lot of pain at first and was put on a lot of medications and had to change her whole lifestyle. For those that don’t know lupus makes you very tired and at times during flare ups it can be very painful. Today she is in nursing school and a mother of a handsome 10 year old.
Chelsea has been fighting for 6 years. There was a point where she could barely stand because she had so much pain in her joints. She lost a lot of friendships and lost her job. Today her lupus is active and she is on disability until the lupus is stable for her to work.
We met working at our local coffee shop as baristas. Chelsea has SLE, fibromyalgia, sjogrens, and treated tor arthritis. Aprille has Lupus Nephritis which is lupus in her kidneys causing other chronic diseases. This disease bonded us in a strong way. We support each other so much so we never give up. We came a long way. So if you would love to join our walk and donate I’m pretty sure they would greatly appreciate it! ♥♥ click below and donate! Thank you!
