Dear Friends and Family,

For the past 10 years, Team JB's Sweetpeas has been an avid participant in the Walk to End Lupus Now, which commemorates the lupus warriors we have lost and celebrates those who continue to fight. Our team is dedicated to raising funds to find a cure while bringing awareness to this mysterious disease. 

Please save the date and look for updates regarding the Walk to End Lupus, which will be held on 09/28/2024 at LA LIVE Downtown at 4:00 p.m.

We walk for our lupus community and for those who are unable to and the 1.5 million people living with the disease. We walk in memory of our aunt and lupus warrior, Varner Dickerson, and many others who were stricken with the disease: Kristal, L.H. Jane Wyler, Cynthia H., Aaliyah Brown, Eusebio "Tino" Mendez, sadly recently Emma Ventura-Zamora 14 years old, lost her fight; our prayers are lifted for her family. 

We continue to show support for the cause alongside our very own lupus warrior/mother, Jackie Brown, who has been living with Lupus for the past 33 years.

Lupus is a mysterious and misunderstood autoimmune disease; it strikes without warning, affects each person differently, and has no known causes or cure. Lupus symptoms can be severe and highly unpredictable. It can damage any organ or tissue from the skin, causing severe swelling of joints, hair loss, heart, and kidneys.

We are committed to spreading awareness of this autoimmune disease and raising money to find a cure. We ask that you join us in support of the Lupus Foundation of America, and the Foundation's efforts to improve the quality of life for all people affected by Lupus. Your contributions, no matter the amount, would certainly make a significant difference and would help us reach our fundraising goal. Every single dollar counts!!
