2024 Walk to End Lupus Now, Indianapolis

Lavender Haze

Welcome to our fundraising team!

Join Team Lavender Haze on Saturday, October 19th at White River State Park for the first revamped Indiana Walk to End Lupus! As you know, I was diagnosed with Lupus 2 years ago on July 15. I was fortunate enough to have a quick diagnosis and put on medication to help manage my symptoms. Since then, I made it a mission of mine to get more involved. I spent a few days in DC learning about the promising research studies and advocating for people like myself on Capitol Hill to the Indiana Senators. I have also been working tirelessly with the LFA Midwest chapter president to get the Indianapolis location back up and running. We hope that this walk brings awareness and support to our community. I hope you will join me!

Did you know?

Lupus is a mysterious and misunderstood autoimmune disease. It strikes without warning, affects each person differently, and has no known causes or cure.

Lupus symptoms can be severe and highly unpredictable and can damage any organ or tissue, from the skin or joints to the heart or kidneys.

While lupus can strike anyone at any time, 90% of people living with lupus are women. Women of color are at especially high risk.

Lupus is hard to diagnose, but the Lupus Foundation of America is working to make life easier and more comfortable for the estimated 1.5 million people living with lupus in the United States.

Together, we can solve the cruel mystery of lupus. Thank you for your generosity!
