2024 Walk to End Lupus Now, Boston

Previlon-McDonald

Hi Family, friends or unacquainted friends, Welcome to The Previlon-Mc Donald Team!

My name is Tracy Previlon, I am 27, and I’ve been officially diagnosed with Lupus for two years now, although I’ve been grappling with the autoimmune symptoms long before that.

Simple tasks like getting out of bed, climbing stairs, or even being in the sun can feel overwhelming and physically impossible. The fatigue is constant, making it hard to balance work, family, and social life. Lupus affects not only your physical health but overall shapes how you plan your days and your future.

I wouldn’t be able to function today without the incredible support of my partner, my loving parents, family, and friends, along with the guidance of my healthcare team, led by my rheumatologist. They help keep my joints, blood vessel, heart, kidneys, lung and overall inflammation symptoms stable and somewhat manageable.

This is why we formed our team—Previlon McDonald—to walk for a cure, aiming to improve the lives of those affected by lupus. We walk not only for a brighter future but also in honor of those who battled lupus for years without the advancements we have today, like Judith Ann (Fischer) McDonald, my partner’s late grandmother, who fought lupus for over 30 years.

Please Help us reach our fundraising goal today with anything that you can, as small as it could be, $5,$10,$20, literally anything, and we thank you for your generosity!!!!!

Did you know?

  • That it is a chronic autoimmune disease with no known cure? While treatments can help manage symptoms, those living with lupus must navigate its unpredictable nature for life.
  • That it is often referred to as an "invisible disease"? Many symptoms, like fatigue and pain, aren't visible to others, which can lead to misunderstandings and make it difficult for people to grasp the challenges faced by those living with lupus.
  • That it is classified as an autoimmune disease? This means the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissues and organs, leading to inflammation and damage, which is why it can affect multiple parts of the body simultaneously.
  • Again, as small as it could be and we thank you for your generosity and your support!!!!.
