I am joining thousands of people across the country for the Walk to End Lupus Now®. I hope that you will join me either by lacing up your sneakers or by donating to my fundraising page!!
A little about me….in 2011, I was diagnosed with Lupus SLE, systemic lupus erythematosus, after having painful aches throughout my body for months, extremely swollen joints and a “butterfly” rash on my face. Over the years, my lupus has been well controlled until 2020 following a devastating loss. I underwent a kidney biopsy and was informed that I also had lupus nephritis, an inflammation of the kidneys caused by Lupus SLE. I was devastated, unsure of how my health would be effected.
I’m fortunate to be in remission at this time but there is still no cure for this disease. I’m asking for your help with raising money for research to help find a cure for this devastating disease that effects so many; particularly women of color. Please, if you’re able to, donate.
Thank you, in advance, for your generosity!
