Lupus is an autoimmune disease that causes the body's immune system to attack its own tissues, leading to inflammation and damage to organs.

There’s no cure for Lupus. This makes living with it a challenge. There is only management through medication, diet and of course having a good therapist to talk to helps ;-)

Though there are periods of illness (flares) and wellness, life is manageable, for the most part.
