Imagine a day when doctors can say, “There is a cure for lupus.” Until that day though, there is work to be done. This is my 8th walk. I'll keep walking to bring awareness, build community to support the lupus family, and to find a cure.
Lupus is very personal to me. Pam, my wife, has been dealing with lupus ever since she was a teenager. It may not be obvious with Pam, but she has had her share of ups and downs. Lupus affects everyone differently. When a flare happens, we often have to ask ourselves if this is lupus or something else. This is one reason why it took over seven years for her to get diagnosed properly.
One of the best things I can do as a caregiver is to be there for Pam during her ups and downs in her bouts with lupus. That’s why I’m taking action in the fight against lupus. Join me as I participate in Lupus Foundation of America’s Walk to End Lupus Now™ in San Francisco to raise critical funds for the estimated 1.5 million people living with lupus in the United States.
