Join us and support the mission of the Lupus Foundation of America, in memory of Daniel Wuensch.
Dan had lupus for 35 years but never let that stop him from living life to the fullest. Dan’s lupus caused other medical conditions like arthritis and deep vein thrombosis. But the most serious issue lupus brought about for Dan was chronic lupus nephritis. For 26 years he lived with chronic kidney disease, stage 4. In the last year the kidney disease progressed to stage 5.
Did you know?
- Lupus is a complex disease that is hard to define. It strikes without warning, affects each person differently, and has no known causes or cure.
- While lupus mainly affects women between the ages of 15-44, men and children are not spared.
- Lupus symptoms can be severe and highly unpredictable and can damage any organ or tissue, from the skin or joints to the heart or kidneys.
- Only three drugs have been developed and approved by the US Food and Drug Administration specifically to treat lupus.
By donating today, you are joining the fight against lupus. Thank you for your support and for honoring Dan's memory.
