I was diagnosed with Lupus SLE at age 10 and it has impacted my life ever since.Yet today I signed up for a marathon, something I never thought my body would would be capable of withstanding. On May 5th I will run the Chicagoland Marathon. This has required 5 months of diligent training, but soon I will complete my lifelong dream of running 26.2 miles. Through this fundraiser I hope to raise awareness and support for those that are also fighting this disease. Sometimes dreams do come true.
Join me and support the mission of the Lupus Foundation of America! My goal is to raise critical funds for the estimated 1.5 million people living with lupus in the United States.
Your donation will not only help me reach my personal goal of giving back to an organization that has given me support for 20 years but more importantly it will aid the Foundation's efforts to improve the quality of life for all people affected by lupus!
