I am Racing the Philadelphia Half-Marathon to in the memory of my mom, Stephanie Moros. On November 9th, she passed away after complications resulting from a heart procedure. Her entire life she fought, and I mean fought, Lupus. This disease never stopped her from supporting me, so now I am supporting her legacy through this race and fundraiser.
I planned to run this half-marathon before my mom passed, and I will continue to train and race in it because it is what she would want me to do. She made me who I am, and from my first step to the finish line, she will be running with me. I ask that you join her spirit in cheering me on through raising money towards the Lupus Foundation.
Her service will be November 20th, the same day as my race, at Davisville Church in Southampton, PA with visitation beginning at 11 AM and service at 12:30 PM. Anyone is welcome, we know she impacted so many.
Did you know?
- Lupus is a complex disease that is hard to define. It strikes without warning, affects each person differently, and has no known causes or cure.
- While lupus mainly affects women between the ages of 15-44, men and children are not spared.
- Lupus symptoms can be severe and highly unpredictable and can damage any organ or tissue, from the skin or joints to the heart or kidneys.
- Only one drug has ever been developed and approved by the US Food and Drug Administration specifically to treat lupus.
Let's end this cycle now! By making a donation today you are joining the fight against Lupus!
Mom, this is for you. I know you will be beside me through each step. I love you infinity forever.
From me, my family, and my mom, thank you for your support.
