I am Racing to End Lupus!
I’ve always said I want to run a marathon before I turn 30 — and 2023 is officially the year!
I will be running the Detroit Free Press Marathon on October 15th. I’m also running this race in honor of one of my very best friends who is diagnosed with Lupus so I will be running to fundraise and raise awareness for the Lupus Foundation.
Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease where your immune system attacks healthy tissue and organs, instead of just fighting off germs it's supposed to. An estimated 1.5 million Americans suffer from Lupus and it disproportionately affect women—especially women of color. I am honored to be running in their honor—especially because Lupus can often cause crippling side affects preventing people from running miles like these!
Join me and support the mission of the Lupus Foundation of America! My goal is to raise critical funds for the estimated 1.5 million people living with lupus in the United States. Your donation will help me reach my personal fundraising goal and support the Foundation's efforts to improve the quality of life for all people affected by lupus.
