How did you spend your summer?

Summers are typically filled with family and friends, vacation and relaxation.

Over the past few months, six young scientists didn’t have a typical summer. Instead they chose to be in a lab, hard at work, unraveling the mysteries of lupus.

These young scholars are part of the Gina M. Finzi Memorial Student Summer Fellowship Program—a program that caring people like you help fund through your generous support of the Lupus Foundation of America.

This month, we’ll introduce you to some of the scientists you’ve helped and their mentors. You’ll learn about how their careers in lupus research are being launched because of the commitment of people like you. And you’ll have the opportunity to support the next class of Finzi scholars.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 for 2020—won’t you help?

We need the best and brightest scientists to tackle the immense and complex challenges in lupus research.  For more than 30 years, the Lupus Foundation of America has provided hundreds of undergrads, graduate and medical students with the opportunity to work with a lupus researcher and gain much needed experience in the lab.
