2023 NE Region Lupus & You: Is Lupus One Disease?
Is Lupus One Disease? Lupus, referred to as the cruel mystery, affects so many different parts of the body that it can be confusing to both diagnosed patients and the medical community. Join us on Wednesday, September 13 to learn more about the variations of lupus associated symptoms and current treatments available. Dr. Robert Lahita, leading authority on rheumatology and autoimmunity and an expert on Systemic Lupus, will share what lupus is and what it is not.
Dr. Lahita is a Professor of Medicine at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine, a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Rutgers Medical School, and the Director of the Institute for Autoimmune and Rheumatic Diseases at Saint Joseph's Health in Paterson, New Jersey. Dr. Lahita has written or edited over 17 books and 150 scientific publications on autoimmune diseases and their relation to sex hormones, genetics, and environmental factors.
The program will be held in-person at Eisenhower Building, 290 W Mount Pleasant Ave, Room G Livingston NJ. Check-in begins at 5:30pm and the program will start promptly at 6:30 pm. A light dinner will be provided at registration prior to the program so please come early to have time to enjoy.
The program will also include a lupus patient panel. Advance registration is required, and participants are encouraged to share questions in advance for this in person session.
